 Voters in the eastern Nebraska city of Fremont have approved a ban on hiring or renting property to illegal immigrants.

The special election in Fremont on Monday was the latest proposal in a series of immigration regulations taken up by communities around the country. About 57 percent of voters supported the measure, which is expected to be challenged in court.

Supporters say the measure is needed to make up for what they see as lax federal law enforcement. Opponents fear it could fuel discrimination.

Fremont's Hispanic population has surged in the past two decades, largely due to jobs at two nearby meatpacking plants.

Guess the Obama regime has a problem with the illegal part of the law, or losing a voter part, haven't made up my mind yet on that one yet.

BP is Obamas War FOE

"W" had War on Terror and now that Obamas Approval is at 42%, he needs a war to try to overcome his dismal showing. Looks like the Oil in the Gulf is gonna be his war.  BP has agreed to a 20 Billion dollar fund to be managed by Obama's pay czar, wonder how that is gonna go. "O" has put a 6 month moratorium on offshore drilling because of the explosion at BP's rig, was just wondering why we don't stop air travel after a plane crash to find out what went wrong, just saying. Obama trying to hard and is using NO common sense because he has none, he appears to be a puppet of someone who has to left hands. Example 50+ days into crisis and finally meets with BP CEO for less than 20 minutes because of his tight schedule that includes lunch with Joe Biden. 20 minutes and he will not be there for the full 20 minutes, they say he is just popping in on the meeting, 2012 can not get here soon enough, hopefully this year we can curb the damage by taking back congress.

So now that the oil is still flowing, Obama is getting more in tune with the Gulf residents, not bad 2 months afterwards, if I recall correctly he sent Eric Holder an attorney there first, seems like some environmental people should have had their boots on the ground first.

There is going to be damage done to the Gulf Coast, and there is going to be economic damages that we've got to make sure BP is responsible for and compensates people for."  Something we agree on, just have to make sure claims are legitimate, not that someone would pull a scam like with Katrina funds. Sure there are already scams going on, like in the Oval office. Did I hear that BP donated to the Obama campaign, yes i did millions of times over.

Helen Thomas retires after some comments about Israel, this has been along time coming, she was old news and in the press room she was more of a monument than a reporter, people afraid to move that monument out of the way. Her picture on Yahoo made me afraid of her.

This is frightening. Arizona MUST do something and their new law is a step in the right direction.

LA OKs Arizona boycott over tough immigration law

What the hell does a city have to do with this. Maybe we should boycott LA for delivering all the trash they put out as entertainment.

"An immigrant city, an international city, (Los Angeles) needs to have its voice heard," Councilman Ed Reyes said. "It is crucial this great city take a stand."

 So Obama nominates a person with no Judicial experience to be a Supreme Court "JUDGE". We have seen what it is to hire someone with no experience(Obama) and giving him a job he is unqualified for.

 Congress is already having meetings on the OIL RIG explosion and leak, even though the problem is still there, might be a good idea to find out what happened then have meetings to fix the proble, just saying.

California : The Trust for Public Land conservation group raised $6.7 million in private funds, the state offered $3.1million, and local funds totaled $2.7 million. 


Arizona: In wanting to defend its own borders, now has everyone including the president calling it a racist move, well Mr. President do your job and get that border protected, law was passed to pay for a fence that is not built yet. Was not there something about foreign and domestic in his oath. Crap even the Mexican president is calling it a racist move, but go there illegally and you are in jail for 5-10 years, kettle and pot comes to mind. And Ohio is close to passing their own version of this law. More and more states are trying to come up with their own enforcement for illegal immigrants as the Federal Government does less and less.


Atlantic Seaboard States are loosening Alcohol laws to allow more sampling in stores, Bums are seen flocking to Virginia for free samples, of course this is all for creating more revenue for these states and the companies selling alcohol. Capitalism is great and a lot of these laws are from right after prohibition ended.
